Slaanesh Terminators about 50% painted...

So my Slaanesh Terminators are nearing completion.  I have ran through my series of light blue, dark blue, pink, and black washes to achieve my general color.  Overall I am very happy with this effect and didn't require any drybrushing or fine detail work. The basic approach was to dip in pink and tip it on its side to dry, then dip in blue and tip it on the opposite side to dry, then dip in black and let it dry standing upright.  Once complete, I will detail with a Silver/chrome for the weapons, and flesh and bone for other bits.

For their load out, I wanted to stay fairly cheap due to the extra cost of the Mark of Slaanesh, so I equipped them as follows:  Twin Lightning Claws, Power Fist/Heavy Flamer, Power Weapon/Combi-melta (x2).  I am debating about changing the Power Fist to a Chain Fist, but just not sure?  Any opinions would be appreciated on that.  Of course with the new Codex coming out, I am hesitant on doing to much with my CSM army at the moment.

These are the early beginnings of my all Slaneesh army, and will join my Slaanesh Daemon Prince, Noise Marines, and Slaanesh Dreadnought.  Updates to come...

  1. I always prefer a chainfist to a powerfist, you really come to appreciate it when you find your Terminators fighting a Dreadnought. They look good so far, but I like my Slaanesh doods to explode your retinas.

  2. Thanks for the input Chris. I guess for 5 extra points it would be a good addition, and nice work on your Slaanesh. Like the custom bits.

  3. Slaanesh termies have to be the most fun to paint on the planet. I know mine were a blast. These are looking great too!

  4. I think their equipment will be determined by the role you want them to play in the army. If I am using Slaanesh Terminators I normally want them to take out enemy infantry in order to take advantage of their higher init. I will equip mine with 2x Lightning Claws and have them ride in a Land Raider to give them the protection and speed that's needed for them to pick the right target. 20 Lightning Claw attacks at I5 will give your opponent a bad day.

  5. Thanks for the advice Dracus, that does make a a lot of sense considering the higher init, but my only problem currently with that build is no Land Raider.

Currently I deep strike them, and I like to have a fist in case they have to deal with armor, combi weapons, and flamers are a cheap add-in, and the one with TwinLC are the closest I could get to Slaanesh build. Still down for a game this Tue?
