Blogger's Best #5

Blogger's Best is my ongoing series featuring the work of the most inspiring modelers and painters that I have come across recently, in order to share their work with others and to help support the individual blogs and artists. Personally much inspiration has been obtained from the daily hunts sifting through the blogs, and I felt obligated to pay a little homage in return.

James Wappel Miniature Painting displays the one of the best painted Eldar vehicles I have seen in a while and the custom energy sculpting looks great to boot.  If that wasn't enough he also posted his fantastic Lucius the Eternal, which demonstrated his blending talents.

Rafa Coll Blog is just down right amazing, with his violinist diorama that shows some truly skilled work.  Sets a higher standard for any miniature artist.

Modern Sythesist has a custom squad of Dark Eldar Wracks that truly needs to be seen.  A lot of intricate work has gone into these.

White Metal Games has a innovative take on the Canoptek Wraiths mid phase coming in and out of the scenery bases.  Really looking forward to seeing these painted and finished... like I'm one to talk, I have a hard time finishing most projects.

misterjustin.com really has weathering down to a science.  I need to revisit this piece the next time I am painting any armored vehicle.  Seriously man you have some great talent.

Bestienmeister is working on some award winning painting.  The shading and blending is a work of art. Love to see the finished product.

Studio City created a beautiful Chaos Space Marine Sorcerer with a combination of many bits and green stuff.

That is all for this time, be back soon with another Blogger's Best...

Blogger's Best #4

Blogger's Best is my ongoing series featuring the work of the most inspiring modelers and painters that I have come across recently, in order to share their work with others and to help support the individual blogs and artists. Personally much inspiration has been obtained from the daily hunts sifting through the blogs, and I felt obligated to pay a little homage in return.

This Blogger's Best may be a bit short on links, but that is only due to the fact that one person... eh hem (The Back 40K) created so much disgusting, they deserved to have four of their pics put up.

Wh 40k Modelling Blog by Agis presents a beautiful dual wielding fallen Dark Angel Daemon Prince.

The Back 40K brought a big bowl of nasty to the table with his Dread, Rhino, Champion, and Daemon Prince.  Please check out all of these as they really offer quite a bit of inspiration.  Great stuff.

Eye of Error has a sick Lord to add to his Mariners Blight Army, still one of the most original looking armies out there.

Brovatar's Painting Blog delivers yet another outstanding paint job demonstrating his master skills on a beautiful squad of Salamanders.

Zen 40k  has a swamp themed Heavy Destroyer Necron that was too cool to pass up.

The Hobby Ambit has an original looking Battlewagon complete with woodchipper Deffrolla.

That's it for this Blogger's Best, will be back soon with painting updates for my Nurgle army and my second Ideal-Ideas featuring focusing on Obliterator conversions.

Blogger's Best # 3

Back again with another Blogger's Best featuring my favorite picks for the last few weeks.  Hoping to inspire fellow modelers with the work of others.

The Hobby Ambit has kit-bashed a very original squad of Adeptus Custodes Terminators.

SincaiN40k created some cool action poses for his Space Wolves

Eye of Error has been featuring many of his Mariner themed Chaos Space Marines

El Arte de Warhammer 40,000 shows off the best building piece... ever.

Teacher by Day, Wargamer by Night combined a metric ton of bits for a mean looking
Battlewagon.

Miniature Tim teaches some great concepts on colors and how they work together.  Very important read.

Spikey Bits has a great Defiler conversion that is a must see.

The Vanus Temple is creating a monstrous Fateweaver/Cockatrice conversion.

Dark Future Games features the best and only Ork/Necron conversion I have ever laid my eyes on.  Definitely wins for the most original converted army.

Heresy Workshop created a very impressive Fortress.

Rust and the City shows some good tips for Nurglizing, and inspired me with his sick Dread.

A Guardsman Guide to Glory has a quality piece of Apoc size terrain.
