Ork Clans - Bad Moons Painting Update - Deff Dread / Dreadnought

I re-painted the base of this Dread to match the desert sandstone theme of my table and the rest of my Ork armies.

Ork Clans - Bad Moons Grot Tanks - Big Gunz: Kannon / Lobba

Set of 3 Grot tanks used as Kannons or Lobbas.  The treads were made from $1 matchbox tractors, and bulked up with plasticard.  The barrels and hulls were made from pen caps with some bits and plasticard.  I used yellow Krylon Fusion paint with several washes of brown and black to get that dingy lived in feeling.  The same technique was used on my killa kans which are not yet finished.

These are a great cheap unit, and one of the best Ork anti-tank options next to the power klaw. Total cost around $6.

As you have already seen from some of my earlier posts, I use the Krylon Fusion paint a lot.  This allows me to quickly coat the model, and then dip the whole model until I am happy the base color.  From this point I can add the metallic details, skin colors...

These models were yet another Deffkopta conversion.  The feet were made from Ork Chain swords, and many trukk bits were used to in obvious places.  I still wanted to fit with the fluff so I had them piloted by Grots.  Unfortunately, I based them on 40mm's just before the new 60mm kans came out, so re-basing will need to be done.

The Grotzookas have made their points back just about every time I have played them.  I believe they are a highly underutilized Ork unit.

Ork Clans - Bad Moons Deff Dread / Dreadnought

Picked up 8 metal arm bits from OOP killakans/dreads at the Battle Bunker Bitz Bazaar for $5.  Wrapped plasticard around some random metal pipe connector for the body, and applied Deffkopta bitz to rest until I was happy.
